The Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the Republic of Seychelles, Francesca Alessandra Azais, was invited to speak at the University of Seychelles during an event entitled “Ambassadors Talk”, held in the university’s main lecture hall. The initiative was designed to familiarize students and academic staff with the Heads of Mission currently residing in the Seychelles.
The programme included short presentations by each diplomatic guest, followed by an open discussion with the audience. Among the participants were the Ambassadors, High Commissioners, and Chargés d’Affaires representing:
- Order of Malta
- Russia
- Sri Lanka
- Cuba
- India
- Libya
- China
Notable authorities present at the event included the Vice-Chancellor of the University, the Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Education, and, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Vivianne Fock Tave Moumou. During her address, Ambassador Azais presented the Order of Malta’s humanitarian and medical relief efforts in Ukraine, Turkey, and Syria.
She also showcased images of coins and stamps issued by the Order’s Magistral Post, featuring the Coat of Arms of Seychelles and the facade of the Seychelles Hospital, underlining the Order’s cultural and symbolic connection with the country.
